Jas, I read the whole thing in the NP and the article related to it. I did draw my own conclusion and did seek advice from business people that I know. In my own opinion, what happened with Mr. Pearl is not really a disaster. These things happened a long time ago and he did pay for his acts. He is now entitled to be treated entirely as a complete citizen. I heard good about him so far, ok the guy did some stupid mistake in the past, but this is now over. Beleive me, there is a lot of top executive and politician that are doing even worst and are very admired by the business community (because they hide what they are doing). As for the case of Mr. Pearl, he never tried to hide this information legally. He did tell TSE and the Board of director that he does have a criminal record. OK, now for the facts: The article in the NP originated from NP and not the TSE people, so the term you used " Not sure why TSE felt it necessary to bring up director past crimes except as a , "We warned you" and they would not be blamed later on.". The TSE people didn't bring that news, this news is from NP and as you can read at the end of the article: "The TSE, as a rule, will not say if an individual does or does not have a criminal record." Again from TSE peoples (in NP): Mr. Kee (from TSE) was asked if regulators are better judges of an individual's suitability than shareholders. ""Our people are experienced and understand the marketplace", Mr Kee replied". So, I relie on the TSE people judgement (and mine) to determine that Mr. Pearl can hold the position of a CEO. And beleive me, I know quite a few people in Silicon Valley that had criminal records in the past and that are doing great business today. These people make often the best fighters in business, because they have everything to rebuild from scratch in their life. Some may say that it is a bad NR, I say that it is fact and that if some people cannot accept this and are afraid that they will loose all there money in this, well don't buy this stock, that's all. I know you guys want to get McF and the best price and I which you the best luck on this. As for me, I think you sort of figure what kind of investor I am. If you do not care about my oppinion, fine, but keep in mind that I "only invest in Internet related stocks" and that I invest only in the one's which I beleived to become very succesfull in North America (so far I spotted two in Canada) and the other is BII. All the others in Canada are for now too much in the early stage for me. As I said I have mostly the investor approach, even if I am equiped with everything a Stockplayer would dream of, I just use these equipements to analyze and watch if my positions are too much "manipulated" and if I need to do any interventions to protect them. So keep in mind that I not a new kind on the block. With all respects and no prejudice.
