Stagger Lee writes.. "Think they have any chance at all of beating last year's Q1 revenues"...Stagger haven't you been listening to anything I have said? THQ has already released the sequel to WCW Nitro, WCW Thunder and it has taken top spot on the sell through charts...there are almost twice as many Sony Playstations in homes this year versus last year. 1,000,000 x $35= $35 mil..now take 500,000 WCW/NWO reorders at $45 = $22.5 mil..that is already $57.5 mil just from these two games which trounces last year's paltry $48 mil in revenues. You just don't get it...go short something else..trust me..you will lose a fortune shorting THQ in 1999.

<<< YHOO,<<<

How is your short position doing?

Is it true that the major reason you are down on THQI is your fear of environmental damage? Maybe Farrell will see your point and file an environmental impact statement prior to breaking $50. Would that satisfy you?

How excited must the Intel executives been when they first learned
that THQ's 'Brunswick First Strike Bowling' was being optimized for
the Pentium III processor? They must have said things like:
"A bowling title is what we need, that is why the Pentium II never
took off. No one wants games like Half-Life, Tomb Raider III orBaldurs Gate"
"Bowling really shows off the power. Wow feel it!Maybe a fishingsimulation next"
"I hear bowling is the latest rage in Germany"
"Bill, people don't want to play shooting, driving or adventure games
on their Pentium III, they want a bowling game which will deliver an
unparalleled experience. Whose got the next round?"or more likely:
"hahaha...bowling...hahaha...."
or "How much are they going to pay us to put that in"
or "Who is GameFX? Yes, I know THQ paid almost 8 million for them and
then wrote off almost the entire purchase, even though they have never
released a product in the entire history of the company. Now they are
releasing a Bowling product. 8 million for a bowling title. That
reminds me of another great studio Heliotrope."Todd Weiner:
If Rushware was such a great distributor why didn't THQ use them in
Germany prior to the acquisition?Keep up the good work.On another note:
No one has ever answered my question, "HOW MANY BOWLING AND FISHING
GAMES IS IT GOING TO TAKE TO NOT ONLY REPLACE WCW WRESTLING BUT GROW
EARNINGS BY 20%?
