It's not anywhere near that low in any part of the metro area where Henry Hyde, Bob Barr or a vilified special prosecutor is likely to live, but OK. On the other hand, the Clintons were only half partners in the deal. So, in truth, from the Clinton's point of view the Whitewater Land Crime of the Century was about a $100K mortgage (their 1/2 share) on a parcel of unimproved land. You could look it up, or you could hire a team of special prosecutors to spend 5 years investigating Monica Lewinski's underwear drawer. (Btw, wasn't this also investigated by the RTC types - Whitewater, that is?)

As to what "Carville and Co." may or may not have been doing to give the vilified Ken Starr his due, I seem to recall that you were the one who showed up on this thread complaining about guilt by association; but Carville's not very popular, so whale away.
