Ron Reece says: < I am basing my arguments on their own logic.>

Let's be honest here Ron and stop playing games. Your arguments are based on your " selfish " assessment: " I kinda like the economy as it is now. Call me selfish as well..."

On the subject of logic, I must tell you that I agree with Leibnitz's Principle Of Sufficient Reason: There is indeed a Reason for Everything that takes place in the Universe. But in the realm of the financial markets, Reason is used as a tool to justify one's vested interest. So when you say, " I don't care what people do. I care only about the logic and substance of their arguments ", you are talking gibberish or abstractions. Reason is based on sense experience though it is not derived from it. Sense Experience without reason is chaos. Reason without sense experience is Abstraction. Since I'm not an Abstraction like yourself, I am compelled to ask you " what you do for a living when I read a post like this from you:

"Maybe the Fed will be willing to let gold run again for $5-10 bucks. This allows certain shorts to unwind some of their positions, then go long gold a few bucks, then short again. "

Is this pure speculation, Ron? Or, do you have inside information as to the daily inner activities of the Fed?

< There is a lot of logic in what I'm saying Rarebird >

Sorry, Ron. What I see is someone who desperately wants to maintain the status quo because he has a vested financial interest and will use any type of military scare tactic to prevent the POG from rising.

Don't get me wrong. I love diversity of opinion. Markets are made up of Buyers and Sellers, Bulls and Bears. But don't pretend to be Mr. Logic when you use it like most other people as a tool to profit.

You can use more philosophy to refine your thinking and delusions of grandeur. :)
