Michael,

As much as I would like to agree with you,
it probably will never happen. The atten-
tion span of your typical American lasts
only about 10 seconds longer than a Super-
Bowl commercial. They only care about
their immediate needs...is there gas in
the car, is the baby fed,...do I have
enough money to keep the mistress happy?

I would like to think that America is
ready to have this grand discourse on the
nature of freedom, the rule of law, and
why Clinton should be removed from office
but lets face it, as long as people think
they are facing a better future (true or
not), they will continue to support the
guy in the Whitehouse.

To be fair, the overwhelming majority of the press called for him to resign. The disconnect is why then should be not be removed from office involuntarily if voluntary removal is approved. Considering that the impeachment process is not the national trauma that many who were against impeachment contended. The economy rolls merrily along as the people spend 101% of their disposable income. Considering the national savings rate was around 5% B.C. (before Clinton).
