CMOZ... is it ready to move up on Monday...

My first comment is that the internet and e-commerce market in the US is hyped out of control... and "HYPED" is the key word....

AMAZON.com is trading at over 2,000 multiple on $0.07 a share but that is where the big money is being made... hard to ignore the facts, there are so many companies doing this such as GO2NET, EBAY, etc...

I fully understand that CMOZ is just in the intitial stages
of developing relationships like the one with Conducent but
it does indicate that they are actively building an internet
and e-commerce profile... InvestorsGURU has had a presence of over four years (with the last three profitable)... I don't like to make these comparisons but if you look at the chart of CMGI, two years
ago they were a shell with no money, no revenues and trading
under $1.00...

Below is CMOZ's most recent press (Friday Jan. 29)... the
critical question is what does Conducent mean in terms of
potential future revenue for CMOZ..? I visited Conducent's
web site and talked with an IR guy from the company to more
fully understand the potential of their technology... I
asked, "what could this mean in terms of revenue to CMOZ?",
he said, "very significant"...

Conducent developed this technology to take advantage of the
gray market for software... essentially for every copy that
is sold, 20 copies are pirated (this may even be an
underestimate), so what Conducent has done is rather than
fight the problem, they have decided to allow the problem to
work to their advantage... what they have done is securely
embedded an advertising module by way of paid banner
advertisements into free software... they now get two
revenue streams, the first level is the initial download of
a piece of free software and every banner impression... and
the second level is when the free software is copied over
and over again... in fact, they want the softare to be
pirated because everytime any person logs onto the internet
who has used the software (both the original user and the
pirate), the number of banner advertisement impressions are
sent back to conducent... is this significant, go to
Conducent's web site (www.Conducent.com) and look at the
number of impressions per month that have been recorded
(about 29,344,000 impressions cummulative today, it was 27
million on Friday)... let's translate this into revenues,
the industry average for internet advertising is about $20
per 1,000 impressions, about $0.02 per impression (this
revenue is shared by conduzent, the developer and a licence
like CMOZ and paid for by the advertiser)... quick math
shows indicates that Conducent did about $586,880 this month
assuming $20/1000 impressions (about $7 million for the
year) and they are just beginning to develop licences like
CMOZ and increase their already large database of free
software (Conducent is likely to go public soon - I will
definately buy their stock)...
