The zinulose is a "matrix" that keeps the zinc gluconate available to attach to the ICAM receptor is the way I understand it. Better than calling IR would be to call Gel Tech ask if you can speak to Dr. Hensley. The e-mail address on the ZICAM web site ("your comments", "e-mail us now") is Dr. Hensley's if you wish to e-mail your question or would like to get a "postable" answer.

I cannot tell you how clever that theory is....Makes so much sense and certainly answers how GUMM might have gotten into the middle of this....I wonder if Gary himself was involved in the research and design of the product.
