FT,
Scientists figured that taking the assumed age of the moon and the rates of space dust being attracted to the moon (which they knew) they calculated the moon would have 17 feet of dust on it. The lunar lander therefore had huge saucer feet to sit on this dust. When the men landed and explored the dust was not deep at all, maybe an inch at best. Because they knew the amount of dust that should be there given the age they assumed they were perplexed. But this was hushed up since it showed the age of our solar system must be far less than the billions of years they were assuming. The scientists retreated from hard facts because it was too upsetting to their preconceived ideas. If the age of the solar system was so much less than they assumed, then evolution was an impossibility. That was too much for them, they retreated back into their mysticism which they delude themselves with.
