Razor: < TWA > TWA has been having Labor problems lately. Work stoppage during Christmas Holiday, etc.. That is going to hurt their bottom line. Would you fly on an Airline that leaves you sitting in the Terminal on Christmas eve? Me either.. The Flight attendents might have gotten their message across to Management but I think they have shot their work place in the foot. On the positive side. They placed a huge order for New planes. This year, next and options for future dates. Not sure how many but think its about 220 in all, not including the options. Check TWA Press Releases for acurrate number. TWA is running Ad's that Highlight the New planes and turnaround. The City of St.Louis strongly backs TWA and that has been an on going help. The St.Louis Airport is starting to under going a MAJOR enlargement that will take years to complete. With TWA being by far the major airline here, the TWA will benifit the most. Added runways. Longer Runways, etc.. The New Termanal is finished and openned but I beleive they are going to add more to it still. I have not kept up with TWA stock much recently but I do know the price is very tempting at this point. Winter is their worst quarter so expect a BAD next earnings. After that, things should look better. If Fuel prices remain low and the economy keeps going strong, TWA should be looking very good in a few years. In the meantime I would expect slow improvments though out. As for trading in and out of TWA. I allways did very well trading in and out on spikes. The Airline Always has some kind of Press coming out to trade on. Long Term ( a few years ) I would call very positive. Mid Term ( Few months to a year ) so so , depends on the Airline sector as a whole, the economy, fuel prices, etc.. Short term, ( a few days, weeks, months ) Mostly positive though late summer. I am at work right now so I can't check the Chart on it. I will look at it later today. If we can find a few other people interested in TWA, I might be willing to BUY a few shares for trading. We can work together to time the best points to buy and sell. Sorry I could not be of more help. I will try to get up to speed on TWA over the next few days. I like trading St.Louis stocks but have not done so as much as I would like. The Pope flew back to Rome on a special TWA plane. Shepard One. Guess he feels safe and comfortable on TWA as he almost always Flys TWA when in the US. Of coarse his plane is nothing like what we would fly on. Did you catch any of the Pope's visit to St.Louis? Nothing against the Pope in anyway, but it was a real Media Hype!! Day after he was gone everyone was MAD that he asked the governer to comute < sp > the death sentance of a 4 time murderer. The Stupid Governer agreed. Seperation of Church and state??? lol Anyway.... Back to TWA. Let me know if you have found anything of interest! Is our Arab friend still buying into TWA? Instock
