Man...I am confused.... Let's pop an analogy in here... You pay for access for the phone...but you can call whatever number you like. You pay for access for the cable..but you can use whatever portal or go to whatever url you like... With AOL: you are using a content provider...and prior to AOL allowing access....(goodness...showing how long I have used aol here...laugh)...you were LIMITED to the content on AOL....now...that they have that little web button up there....you are free to surf the Internet....(but I think...they impose some limits on that Internet access....try to download prodigy.com software...and you will see that I mean...mmmmmm....<she says...knowing she is opening a can of worms...> BY the way....a lot of people may not realize this....but AOL can be used...as an ISP...meaning...you dial up to AOL....get connected...then minimize that and then click on IExplorer or Netscape...for a "real" browser..... and further....for those not aware of it....once your connection to the Internet is made....you can open up multiple browsers.... I can hop over to AOL and open it..while I type here...and then if I wanted to....open up Prodigy .....and compuserve.... You can work in several...assuming you have the RAM (I have 256 RAM on my Dell 400 here....)....... mmmmmmmm....is that helpful...?....or am I totally confused... smile....Mary ( AOL folks...don't jump on me cuz....I am so long on AOL it is not even funny....!!)
