Sherman,

I believe that Cymer's warranty announcement a few months back will have a negative effect on spares/service revenues. However I think that this will help insure that they stay the dominant player for a while. They may hope to just eat some of the service revenue until one of the other players drops out and their installed base gets into the 1000's.

WT, no I have not taken the service into account, but on th other hand, I also doubt they will ship 1000 laser in one year within the next three years, thus these two cancel out. We are still to see a wave of announcement of new fab buildup, and it will take a year after such an announcements start to appear before shipment of lasers to such fabs will commence. Upgrades are important (and will keep CYMI shipping at levels somewhat higher then current levels, but not drastically higher, nor, IMHO, even double the current shipment rate. For CYMI to start and fly, we need to see new fabs announcements.
