Now, in that vein, I have been researching the airline sector, as that has been a hot one this week....any input from anyone????? Redhead, Yes, Southwest Airlines (LUV). More dependable than rain. Excellent employee-management relations, and two unions (pilots and cabin personnel) recently locked into longterm contracts. I think negotiations with the baggage handlers are presently underway. Since I've been in there's been one 2-for-1 stock split and one 3-for-2. Nothing flashy, but a steady performer. And this month or next they start flying out of the NYC area. I would also look long and hard at potential beneficiaries of the new Highway Bill ($218 billion over six years). Break it down. That's about 33 billion a year, $750 million a week, or $107 million a day for the next 2,190 days. Folks, that's Pork Barrel City in any language. TXI seems a good one here -- they sell the lion's share of cement in both California and Texas. STVI and GX might be worth a look as well. Any other suggestions? Bootz
