><>...Hi Gregor, good to hear from you again...><>

I trust that you had a good vacation. Did you you the Disney scene?
Or are the beaches more your style? In any case I hope you are refreshed.

Gregor I'm not sure I understand your question. But I will try to answer it based on what I think you are getting at.

You asked:
Is the covenant God made with Jacob i. e. Israel unconditional.?
The covenant God made with Abraham was passed down to his son Isaac, to his son Jacob, and then to his sons. Jacobs/Israel's descendants became the inheritors of that covenatnt.

That covenant (Gen.17)The Abrahamic Covenant, was indeed unconditional. It was also unalterable, and unchangable, which means it must still exist today.
It was made by our Father God with Abraham (Gen.17:4-8), established in Isaac,(Gen.26:1-5), ratified and confirmed to Jacob (Gen.35:10-12).

The National covenant made at Mt. Sinai (Ex.24:7-8) was in fact made conditional upon the keeping of the laws, statutes, judgments and commandments of God. Conditions were set out in Deut.28 and lev 26.

The next part of your question Gregor is where it gets a little fuzzy as to what exactly you are asking.

You asked:
And if, my reason for asking centers on the different judgement Jews will receive at the
end.

Different judgment?

Gregor before I go on we must first fully understand That the use of the word Jew is by no means all encompassing, and does not in any case speak to the rest of the Israelites.

The descendants of Jacob/Israel became known as the Israelites. Why? Because their father was called Israel....Jacob...!
Those sons were numbered 12. Each son was given a name and he was the head of that particular tribe/people.

Judah was the fourth son. Of this son Judah, was born a people known as the Jew. So Judah was the fourth son of Isaac/Israel and the father of the tribe of Judah. Before the birth of Judah there was no Jew. The very word Jew arose from the birth of Judah. Remember Jacob/Israel had 11 other sons, who also formed their own families/tribes. They were not known as Jews, because they were not Jews! Only Judah's descendants are known as Jews. This was the beginning of Jews! But keep in mind that they are just 1/12 of the Israelites.

Strongs
#3063 Yehuwdah (yeh-hoo-daw');

from 3034; celebrated; Jehudah (or Judah), the name of five Israelites; also of the tribe descended from the first, and of its territory:
KJV-- Judah.

So to be a Jew one had to be a descendant of Jacob's/Israel's fourth son Judah...OR...be from the land of Judea. Paul our brother the apostle could only say that he was a Jew because he was from the land of Judea. He was actually a Bemjamite by birth, not a Jew. He descended from the tribe of Benjamin, the 12th son born to Abraham.

Skipping over a lot of history I'll set out how the tribes became divided.
Solomon, to whom Davisd passed the throne, fell inot sin, causing the people of the 13 tribes (Ephraim and Manasseh combine dto form one) to sin. It was at that time that God caused the tribes (sons of Jacob/Israel) to be divided into two kingdoms.

The 10 tribes under the leadership of Ephraim formed the Northern Kingdom of Israel with Samaria as it's capital and Jeroboam as it's king.

The other two tribes of Judah and Benjamin, with most of the tribe of Levi, formed what was known as the southern kingdom of Judah, with their capital located at Jerusalem, and Rehoboam as it's king. (1 King 12: 16-20)
Remember also that the tribe of Levi received no inheritance with Israel (Deut. 18:1-2) was portioned among all of the tribes for priestly duties. And although Judah received a large part of the tribe of Levi, she was still referred to as the two tribe kingdom.

The titles House of Israel and the House of Judah are used to designate the two kingdoms, as they stand separated and in opposition to each other....Still to this day.

So you see Gregor The Israelites are not all Jews. Just 1/12 are.
The terms Israel, Judah and Jew are not synonymous. It is equally important to understand that the House of Israel is not synonymous with the house of Judah. When God speaks in prophecy to the House of Israel or the House of Judah, He does not refer to the modern Jewish nation of Israel.

The prophets display meticulous care in the address to the House of Israel and the House of Judah. To apply to one House a prophecy which refers to the other is clearly to misapply the message and confuse the issue. By failing to treat the House of Israel and the House of Judah as separate entities, the prophetic books of the Bible are set at varience with one another.

Now back to your question.
I understand how all Jews or gentiles under Christ will be judged at the 'dumas'
judgement seat; but what will be the difference between the other two.

And I will add other Israelites,(The Other Sons of Jacob) to your above list. Other than Judah that is. You ahve already correctly named them..Jews...
Now I should ask, sorry gregor....What other two?

Do you mean those people who have not received Christ as their Lord and Saviour?

I would be more than happy to discuss this with you further. Please help me to understand your question a bit more.

Have to go for now.
Have a blessed evening

Shalom...><>
Glad you are back!

Hi Gregor. Right now a great guy from work is in my living room with his amplifier playing an electric guitar in an incredibly glorious way, all his own riffs and melodies, really beautiful stuff.

BUT!!!!! Remember this. This is in my front room and purely and simply for the purpose of entertainment!

As always, I sit patiently waiting for the Lord to return but I don't see Him. Would you please tell Him to hurry up?
