BLT.. a well thought perspective which I agree with you on. I'd add that while its a legal issue, given the determined might of the majority, or any majority, most any legal issue could probably be continued through every four year term of any President. There were two calls for impeachment of Bush but nothing came of it, not for lack of content but because the Congressional members who issued the calls recanted out of respect for public opinion. Your other point also is well taken.. that this thread isn't a cure for anything but its own angst. My post to you received six replies none of which responded to the points we're discussing.
