Dan, I'm still using DBC's StockEdge Online service for my real-time information. It's a nice package for those who still trade via internet, but want real-time and L2 data. Feeds are often slow. Sometimes the L2 is ahead of T&S, but more often, T&S far leads the L2 display. I have no way of telling if the T&S is delayed except to place an order and get Dreyfus' real-time quote prior to releasing it and seeing if it agrees with the T&S.

I use Dreyfus as a broker and they have a special deal with DBC where they credit my account $75/month if I do 5 trades. This results in my DBC online costs being those of the exchange fees only. I don't get the news feed which is extra.

I'll be leaving Dreyfus soon when I get my hardware/software stuff set up. (I built a new machine.) I've narrowed my choices to MBTrading and CyberBroker, but am leaning to the latter. It is clear that I'll need more bandwidth than my current 64kb ISDN link. Unfortunately, I still can't get cable modem and the xDSL is now available, but only at 144kb in my neighborhood because of the distance to the substation. I'm waiting for TCI to answer my inquiry as to the lead time for getting cable before deciding on the 144kb option.

If you have the bandwidth or an extra line, DBC would make a nice backup to your RealTick or Cyber systems.
