betty, According to my sources, Charlie O of PW will be issuing a report on Vivus early this week. He will reiterate his strong buy rating pointing out some of the positives such as Vivus' ability to clean up its balance sheets and also the fact that although Q1 may be ???, a return to significant profitability is but one domestic partner away. I think that LW did make it clear that based on Vivus' ability to maintain expenses and preserve cash, they are ready and willing only to sign a favorable deal. It is my understanding that LW has offers on his desk that he can sign at any time but he wants to wait for A/Z to get over the merger stuff and sign a deal that will ultimately be good for both Vivus and A/Z(in the long term if you know what I mean). Keep the faith.
