RW, Exactly right, the market knows the value of E*Trade stock and it will be determined at the next trade. The past history is just that, the past and doesn't predict the future. The trailing PE is insignificent. It's right now that counts. We all bring a set of beliefs to the market that have no meaning. We need to trade in the present and if you paid 100 and its now 98 you are losing money. If you paid 98 and it's now 100 you are making money.
