Bruce, I may be mistaken, but I think "what's wrong with this picture" is that your report of 5 tons/day works out on my envelope to be gross proceeds of about $10 Billion - which sounds a little high to me. I
used: 5 x 2000lb x 12 troy ounces in a lb x $280 current POG x 300 working days/yr...[if they were referring to a long ton, or 2240 lbs, the figure would be over $11B].....SW

When I watch TV specials I get confused, sometimes pounds are remembered as Tons and so on. If that be the case then Scotts 11 Billion bucks should be Metric reduced by a factor of 1/2200 divided by 12 = 183.3333 So...is the Figure not....$183,333,333 million?
If so...then that would be inline with what I hope to see from one custom mill. Annually.
Maybe I should not have divided by 12 but really by ....2200.
So, $11,000,000,000,000 should be $5,000,000,000
Voila.
Chuca
PS- Do I hear ...$50,000,000
P.P.S.- The point is that any figure is based upon a Third OPT...and will WE HAVE MORE SUBJECT TO ONIUON PEELING. Yes, metyinks the secret og unlocking is known...I had such recent thoughts and conversations ...an onion peeled cleanly is the key. I have that on good authority. Of course ...adding the right veggies abd strainiung the brooth is always a good idea. Measure Twice and cut once.

BATMAN, Those SA mines are so deep that the rock squeezes the stopes and they have constant risk of rock bursts. Costs are very high and the total may be 10 billion $ but at what profit? Some are losing money and keep mining for the day when gold goes up because if they close them down they will get squashed flat at depth and never get reopened economically.
That looks like a million ounce per year producer, more or less.
