With the PP of last Friday being done @ $5.25, this brings the total to approximately 33 Million shares that have "TRADED ABOVE $5"! I am guessing, but I doubt if the lurkers and the posters to this forum, would have in their possession, more than two million shares of cheap stock, (stock under $5). This game is in the "BIG BOYS PLAYGROUND NOW"! If anyone of you listened, to the last "TELECONFERENCE", you hung up your phone knowing, that this is being played at an INTERNATIONAL LEVEL. Since when has "REUTERS NEWS AGENCY" put a reporter covering a mining story, only if they think there is a "STORY"! David and Goliath! How do you trade Millions of shares per day on a derelict exchange, such as the infamous VSE." Folks I sincerely believe even the "LUNDINS" didnt expect this". Who gets it,remains to be seen at this time, for sure it will not be going for $5. Good hunting tomorrow!

"... I felt they overpayed with Arequipa ..."

Frank, I think subsequent statements from Barrick will show that they most emphatically did not overpay for aqp - Pierina is expected to come onstream with cash costs of $50/oz - barrick.com

Sure they whined and bitched about the price, and others [notably Wilson] did as well - but aqp at 30Cdn was a very good deal for abx. Sure it's a different market, but that's always a fluctuating factor in the short-term, it will go the other way before long.

The big thing here imho is that they're not making an offer for just Amable -
they want the whole company, the whole land position.
And it can't be replaced, once arp is lost.

There's not many El Indio belts around.
