Clark,

RE number of units.

1. As feature sizes decrease, more layers will require DUV.

2. CANNY alone had peak production exceeding 1000 steppers alone.

3. Nikon, ASMLF and SVGI combined were almost another 1000 units.

4. 300mm will obsolete existing base of steppers (for leading edge production productivity).

5. Moderate CAGR and migration of most layers to DUV may lead to a DUV laser demand well in excess of 1000 units/annum by 2001.

Personally, I would be very surprised to see a $100 limit on CYMI's price once the 300mm buildout gets started in earnest. Like many others, I'm also pleasantly surprised to see how rapidly the stock prices have recovered without the 300mm confirmation.
