My grandmother, who is in her '90's and is a big Clinton supporter, is terribly angry at the Washington Post for ever printing everything unfavorable to Clinton, and accused it of being a conservative newspaper! She also would not believe me when I told her of Clinton's support of partial birth abortions and described the procedure. She actually accused me of going to far as if I were making it up....

jimpit,

I am genuinely surprised that someone as concerned as you are with "SpinNews" is not more demanding of his news sources. I may have been more strongly motivated to question that story than you, because of its content and because of my esteem for the "publication" in which it was reported; but, still, does it really not occur to you to at least wonder: if the major media ignored the Hubbell story that day because of a particular bias, then what story did they cover instead? I don't know the answer to that question and I don't feel motivated enough to do the research. I would not be surprised if the alternate story that the major media went with that day had something to do with "live witnesses to be called", with voice reporting over film footage of Monica Lewinsky. But I don't know. Do you?

Btw, I feel pretty confident that, providing they can get film footage to go with it, the major media will cover the story when the vilified Ken Starr actually serves up a subpoena on Web Hubbell's cat. Film footage of cats (and other animals) makes news. <g>
