Spent some time with Tony and Jan over the last few days.

I remain comfortable with the company's position and the market.

For the first time I got a good presentation of the company's vision for their next generation product, the eFront Office.

It is a sound vision, that IMO reflects the likely direction that the front office market is heading. Rather than viewing the internet as an island of customer interaction, the Clarify vision is that customer interaction will take place over a broad range of "mixed media" types.

The clarify approach will allow a customer getting service over the web to make a phone call and have the call center rep brought up to the same point as the customer is on the web interaction.

Clarify Front Office98 offers a unified approach to all aspects of customer interaction. The efront office takes things a step further by synchronizing the interactions across all media types.

This unified approach is in contrast to the point solutions of the smaller web only front office vendors (still private.)

Clarify has seen an increase in the number of customers buying their unified solution which is driving the average transaction size up.

Visibility continues to improve.

We have already seen that Tony and Jan have improved execution at the company.

I am very happy to see that there is well thought out strategic vision that makes sense relative to the needs of the high end market.

Now to get through the y2k issues in 1999.....
