Bill, along with AMAT, check out KLAC, KLIC, NVLS, LRCX, SVGI, CYMI, ELGS, ETEC, UTEK and others. A related company, TER, is IMO the best "back end" company (they make semiconductor test equipment primarily), at least that's USA based. I'm just a fundamentalist type guy from a technology background but I'd have to say that, at least the best of these companies' stock prices have appreciated a lot from the lows last fall.
