Bretsky,

I too own both CPQ and DELL. As far as price gains go both companies stand at or near 52 week highs. DELL has gained 100% since the lows last fall, but so has CPQ(24 to 48). A double is a double. CPQ is still ranked the #1 computer maker and DELL is the #1 direct marketer. I own both just to be diverisified.

CPQ has beat estimates plus is launching Alta Vista. DELL will also exceed expectations on the earnings and will probably split the stock(AGAIN) this year. All the ingredients are present for both stocks to perform well in '99.

Kelvin

BTW, I own a Gateway computer.
