I saw this at the Redondo Beach Police web site.

It looks like an identix at first glance. But I don't know for sure. If it is, it must be a really old version. The one we had was similar but definitely different.

Nice find........

Hey.....I knew it.....My Yahoo quote on IDX is showing a PE of 750.....on one penny for the last 4 quarters.

This is a technical screw up....IDX needed to lose another penny!

I can't believe they could not have found a little special charge or something....wow.....I was afraid of this.

Interesting that the Oracle 8/IDX approach holds the biometric templates on a server, rather than in the reader. Since this approach does not require an onboard CPU, it leaves open the possibility that Oracle could switch the technology to the less expensive Identicator product without compromising the architecture of the system.
