Well , you probably realized that Microsoft's past quarter's earning was 73cent per share, well above the analysts' prediction. You will probably realize that all the software and hardware companies had very good quarters. You probably realized that the export of all the US high Tech companies actually accelerated in the past one year under the atmosphere of what so called worldwide financial crisis. Why ? Y2k problem push all the companies around to upgrade their computers and software. All these good things did not happen by accident. So, do not be naive that companies will wait till the last minute to fix this problem, all the process of fixing has started before 1998. So, if you are a Y2k promoter, I am sorry to say that you will be very disppointed. The last I heard that Singapore is ready for Year2000, and all the upgrades are now under testing. So, pls do not stay in you small ivory tower and predict that all the other countries, like Pacific Rim ...etc countries are Y2k blind.You are completely wrong with your own imagination.
