>> Katherine: 193 nm DUV technology has been proven to extend to .07 micron
feature sizes using Cymer's laser. That takes us to 2009 on the roadmap. Lambda
isn't anywhere close in 193 nm- so to somehow call that a dead heat is a stretch at
best.<<

ASML and SVG both consider Lambda to be a strong contender at 193 nm.

Regarding the roadmap, technology implementations are running at least 1-2 years ahead of the last SIA document. Sub-0.10 micron features have been printed with 248 nm DUV, but no one seriously expects to see it used in production at those wavelengths.

>>Regarding 13 nm - I think we're gonna first see a step to 157 nm. Once again I
believe it will be virtually all Cymer (a monopoly in my opinion-which might only
change if Lambda could ever get even one 193nm laser into production some day).<<

I agree regarding a first step to 157 nm. The only announced 157 nm stepper program (SVG) has said it will be using Lambda's laser.
