What part of this is the famous quote?

"Taxes are what we pay for civilized society." --Holmes. I think.

True. We have no respect for most of our representatives and chiefs. We spend millions to catch them in a lie about their lusts. We make up conspiracies to put young kids in jail for life for selling marijuana which most of us smoke or have smoked. We spend millions to save young kids from mistreatment by their mom's and their mom's abusers and by their social workers. We spend billions so that we can kill people ten thousand miles away. And yet ... and yet .. we welcome troubled people from far away (like Alissa from Russia, Kissinger from Germany, and D------ from where ?) to build new lives for them and preach to us how we can be crueler, harsher, more unforgiving. But they are very wrong about our state. All of us or our ancestors came here both to escape something cruel or missing in our ancient homelands, and to build some new experiment in which the government under our control tries to help us rather than robbing, torturing and killing us. And who has done better -- building a new people of a hundred races and nations, of people who at their best can help and love each other to struggle for peace and liberty against the odds, against the old hatreds of the past and above all -- with speech so free and alsolute that we can argue every where and while in hope a truth can emerge and make us free.
