Even if AXC does become marginable, I'm sure it will quickly be placed on the internut list with a 70% margin requirement.

Actually, Scott, you raise an interesting question Re: splits...

First, "NM" is common broker/investment community parlance for "not meaningful." For example, you'll generally find an "NM" in the "earnings" column for Net stocks! If you see "NM" in the "marginable?" column, it probably still means "not meaningful" which, of course, still translates into "out of luck, pal."

Now here's an interesting idea: Not a stock split, mind you, but a *reverse split*! That would establish the stock above $5, show a little confidence and make everyone happier. It would also get good press. A notable example of the use of a reverse split was RJR Nabisco (RN), who used, I think, a 1:4 reverse split very effectively a few years ago.

For AXC, a 1:2 reverse split would lower the shares outstanding to about 25mm and cut the float to about 20mm, which seem adequate for now.
