Interesting indeed, Ken. [And thanks to Sam C. for the post]

I detect a conspicuous absence in the release of any mention of the modality they intend to use... be it traditional POTS over FDM kludgery, or VoIP. Any information on this from other sources would be appreciated. Frank C.

Who will supply the cable equipment?

I guess this means HFC equipment. This enables fast internet as well as telephony I think. Jogging my memory. Let's see: HLIT and TLAB come to mind. Who else? Would have to look who got previous TWX contracts for HFC upgrades.

Communications equipment?

ANTC, NT and LU main benificiaries I would expect. Then there's billing software and other stuff that could come from T under this deal.

Sorry I can't be more helpful. It has been about a year since I looked into these matters. At that time I took positions in ADLAC and HLIT and wished I still held them today. I don't see bandwidth becoming any less important. Soon there might even be a scramble for content, maybe even quality content, but I'm not holding my breath on that one. ;-)
