Ah, Grüße Herr Blinker,

Sincerity in anonymity? That would be a very effective come on for the AA. Would do away with the protestant inspired mea culpa prayer for starters.

Just for clarification purposes.... would AA stand for Anonymity Anonymous, or the red nose kind ?

As for the Mea Culpa, best would be to rid oneself of the entire Oratorio part, you know, the fear of dog and the like... (sorry, I am severely dyslexic when it comes to religious matters).

Reading between the lines of a poster on SI is a true art only professional deceptors know how to execute. The rest can only trust their guesswork.

If a solid base in one's ideas exists, then no need for the "in between lines" search, since the greatest telescope will not come to your assistance if said ideas are based in a foundation made of oat meal cement, (you know, the mushy kind).

As H. L. Mencken put it far more eloquently than I ever could:

"...the proof of an idea is not to be sought in the soundness of the man fathering it, but in the soundness of the idea itself. One asks of a pudding, not if the cook who offers it is a good woman, but if the pudding itself is good."

Likewise, if you refer to the themes of this illustrious SI threads, that is, the world of stock investing, if one's investment principles are founded on the mythical world of trolls and fairies, it is no surprise that the investor wannabe will be taken to the deepest and darkest hole of a real inferno. Either the idea is sound, and you must have the capacity to analyze it and discern as such, or it is not. Yes, you should also have the same capacity to so decide.

So there, Herr blinker, yes there can be sincerity in anonymity.... then again, no. Either way it is up to you to decipher the encrypted messages of a simple SI post.

Don't bump into any stock trolls.

Hasta luego Señor Blinker.
