This was an exerpt out of RSA Business Day this morning. Black groups want a piece of De Beers main activity. This is window dressing. The Government is very sensitive about moving ownership of large RSA firms into black joint ventures. They are also sensitive about not taking from the International mining groups who bring foreign investment and expertise into the country.

De Beers has not given enough yet of their core activity and they will be under increased pressure to do so before Mr. Mandela steps down or have to face the incumbant.
