Has anyone else noticed that their buying power changes from one server to another? Some stocks marked NS or NM on one server aren't on others.

Conclusion: Datek currently does not offer checking. All promises to the contrary are best ignored as a practical matter.

I draw this on the complete lack of any evidence of actual checkbooks in the hands of actual customers.

Apparantly Datek tests new product concepts by floating trial balloons in the form of promises made to customers. Well, they are based in NYC after all. You've heard of a New York minute? Datek uses New York promises.
