Justin, I think what you need to do is deal directly with your online
firm and understand how their system works.I have heard of a number of
situations where what would appear to be logical is not what actually
happened. If a market moves on me and I want to change my strategy or
orders I simply cancel what exists and start over.

Justin,
Been there, done that! You have to make sure you are out of the loop before re-entering another transaction, meaning getting on the phone with your broker. Check with your broker to see if they can cancel the orders. Mine did it for me once. Good luck!

if you call and be firm they will take the unwanted trades out of your account..i did the same thing before too. always cancel, and make sure the cancel goes through before execution! if they won't undo the trades go someplace else.
