This service alliance with Unisys is very significant. One of the
most important factors in becoming a world-wide supplier which is
where OPEN is headed with their PSI net deals, is having a world-wide
service solution. Unisys not only provides maintenance type services
but also contract services such as IBM's Global Services unit and EDS.
The Unisys offerings are set up similar to how IBM runs its services
businesses so it is state of the art. I dont think any of this would
have happened if OPEN was not viewed as a long term player and key
partner in global Internet access.
