He just didn't know how bad the country's finances were [lie]. He never worked so hard in his life trying to find some way to fulfill his tax cut promise [big fat lie].

Any way the liar doesn't give a hoot about tax policy. He's only concerned about the giving it away side of things.

He's kind of the Jim Baker of politics trying to sell the country on the gospel of "The more you give away, the more you'll have".
