I have not been reading the thread all that long, but the basic premise is that unit growth (for the boxmakers) will not be sufficient this year to offset ASP declines. They also talk fairly often about channel stuffing (again). Burke's earlier post to Jim McMannis on this thread sums it up nicely. I get the feeling these guys have been talking about this for some time. The thread did get a mention in Sunday's NY Times business section, they uncovered some discrepancies on how MU reported sales.

PS - One of them stated that if Dell's numbers are not perfect, they take a quick 30% haircut. Thing is, that only resets the price back to the middle of *December*... <gggg>
