Off Topic: Donald, Ramsey:

I agree that these are not issues that can be solved easily. But I recall years ago the fears that swept our country when our own competitiveness was in question. High inflation, unemployment, industries that were shackled with govt. regulations. So I don't think they're going to get away with not making those serious decisions that have to be made. This global economy will force them to do what's right. That same thing is slowly happening in Japan right now. Foreign companies are finally being allowed to own part of Japanese corporations. Japanese tourists can often buy their goods cheaper in the U.S. than in their own country. South Korea is another good example, because of the current crisis they are also dismantling some the barriers to free trade. I think its important to remember that these countries are experiencing hard times not because of foreign investment but because of the flight of foreign capital from their markets.

Regardless, there is a great imbalance which could be caused by a dictator/inscrupulous government - an imbalance exists.

You're right, but how do you change this. I honestly believe that the cycle of change will be much faster for all countries because of the free flow of information and ideas (and money).

Anyway I know we're far from the topic of this thread.

Good luck trading.
