Jon and all: Thanks for the numerous responses. It's a big help.
But one last question. At what seems to be a million posts an hour,
how does anybody keep up? (Although as long as the stock keeps up
with the 10% per day moves, there are no reasons to follow other
things, I guess.)

Jon, re:<<Compaq's global market share grew to 15.4 percent, up from the third quarter's 14.4 percent. Compaq's U.S. market share
grew to 18.1 percent from 15.8 percent in the third-quarter, while Dell's share slipped to 12.8 percent from 14.1 percent.">> On the surface this doesn't appear to be good news for Dell. However, by the time you and I see the news release, the Pros's on the Street have already seen it. Based on today's price action for Dell's stock, it seems that the news and, Kunmar's (sp) viewpoints, didn't have any affect on the stock. By the way, the volume today sure suggests that some big institutions are buy the stock.
