Go ahead say it Robert... C-O-N-S-E-R-V-A-T-I-V-E ... see there. It didn't hurt did it. You need to quit watching Geraldo at night and get some sleep...

Other way around.....IF Monica had not kept a certain dress, you would now have in your DEM handbook phrases like " trailer trash", and " stalker Monica" and Uncle Bill would be your hero, the mistreated poor thang.

One more thing. The congress has folks that certainly have committed indecretions and the DEM whitehouse is using "scorched earth" policy to try to make the boss look better. So you say them nasty ol GOP boys aint no good why they pickin on my boy?? Then on the other hand Starr is above reproach in that regard, so you say "look at that Puritan CoC boy why he pickin on my boy??" So either way you just don't like anyone messing with a DEM no matter what he has done right??

dan

Robert,

re: <<If Clinton was a Republican President, these conservatives (UGH! I hate to use that word!) would be condemning Paula instead of praising her.>>

I must respectfully disagree.

If Clinton were a Republican the Democrats would have been screaming from the rooftops for his removal. Barbara Boxer, et all would have ganged up on him just as they did (rightly) to Bob Packwood (although Packwood never committed perjury, nor did he obstruct justice in order to avoid the consequences of his actions).

If Clinton were a Republican the Republican leadership would have gone to him and forced him to resign. If he refused they would have pursued his impeachment, just as they're doing now.

The Republicans are doing this out of conviction that nobody is above the law -- especially not the President. If Clinton gets away with the crimes he's committed the precedent will be set that, as long as you're popular, and have a rabidly partisan party supporting you, that you can ignore the law at your will. That's a recipe for disaster.
