Who are the members of ITU? I realize ETSI (who I actually had in mind with the banana comment) are the European manufacturers, with Ericy great voting power because voting based on sales. How are votes determined in ITU. Seems like both may be moving toward Q compromise, although I have to be honest in questioning validity of ETSI motives, because they may just be engaging in Clinton-Ericyesque PR. Seems to me Qcom ought to really get together with DoCoMo; cdma overlay seems like the ticket for that company. Delay is costing it enormous sums simply in the downgrade on their stock. I bet Q could overlay cdmaOne into its system to increase its capacity at a reasonable price and deliver 3G.
