Danny boy, here we go again. Bubba admitted he lied and misled. The evidence of perjury is overwhelming. I don't leave my common sense at home when I head to the office in the morning. The rule of law is the rule of law. Different standards apply depending on the forum. The Dems may well argue that perjury and obstruction don't rise to the level of impeachment but common sense and legal precedent would seem to weigh against such arguments. As for me, I would only make such arguments if they let me wear a paper bag over my head as I did so. JLA

Het Dan, just want to get this settled.

You keep posting-
<<"Vote Republican Y2K! Because you're stupid and we're not!" >>
-in quotes. Who are you quoting? URL? You always want a URL.

Or is this a lie you made up and ascribed to the conservatives?
That wouldn't be honest.

<<Legally, my opinion is that Democrats in the Senate are within reasonable limits arguing against conviction...>>

Nope, you and I both know that Dems and Repubs are arguing so we might not notice that their partisan vote is a partisan vote.

Nation of Liars. Wish I had some popcorn, bugles, mint chocolates and a soda.

Y2K isn't really coming. It's all a hoax. The end of the world hits on 9/9/99.

Daniel, you look like your going off the deep end here. :-)

Don't worry it will all be over for your King and Queen very soon, one way or the other. :-)

Hang tough, don't go postal like the thread starter did.

High Crimes etc...Please explain to me how bribery is an impeachable offense but perjury is not? I don't need to be a constitutional scholar to do that analysis. Bribery is clearly laid out as an impeachable offense. Destroying the legal system with perjury is a far worse crime than bribery.

Although paying off an intern (for her lying testimony) with a good paying job is a form of bribery in my book. They elected not to go that route.
