NW: I consider myself thankful that I was able to see a decent profit with CPQ. Having been with CPQ for the past 18 months, I was concerned that I would never see a profit until December of 1998. To those that have stuck it through thick and thin with CPQ, I salute you. This nebulous announcement of an alta vista spin off with no details seems to disappoint investors and potential investors (JMO judging from the lack of positive momentum today). With more positive details (and perhaps a decrease in valuation), I'll probably become a shareholder once again. In the meantime, my core position is with DELL. Best of luck to all..... David
