<< Oh, I agree. Lewinsky could have targeted Clinton for an affair. So what? >>

So what?! All I hear, from the Republican side, is about that poor little girl Monica. To make their point seem stronger they try to paint Monica with a brush of a choir girl.

<< You saying that the leader ... of the free world can be swayed by one girl intern? >>

A blow job is a very powerful weapon. Besides, it was on his own free time. The leader of the free world can also be swayed by a round of golf. What is the difference between the two?

<< Doesn't say much for the USA does it? >>

Hey, sex is a popular sport, except in Middle Eastern nations where they cover up their women in order to help the men behave themselves.

Aren't you exaggerating a little? If Clinton had traded V.P. Gore for a BJ, that might've been a problem, but he did it during his social breaks.

<< ... even IF(which I don't believe) he was totally set up ... >>

I don't believe it either. If it was a setup, Monica would have cooperated with Starr and his bunch of ruffians.

<< ... still no reason to allegedly(wink wink) lie under oath, obstruct justice etc.etc. >>

These allegations of perjury and obstruction are legally weak ones. But, I'll admit it. Clinton screwed up. Bush screwed up worse by sending our troops to their death in Somalia right after he lost the election to Clinton. I considered that awful decision far worse than Clinton's trying to cover up his sexual trysts.

<< Remember the const. says freedom OF religion not from..... >>

Freedom OF religion also means freedom from sectarian religion.

<< ... yet you want to deny the very same basic freedom to those who CARE about life. >>

No I don't. I would never deny someone the right to have children. OTOH, I don't want to see us go down the slippery slope towards government controlled wombs.

<< ... on the other hand have the press show up to see him coming out of church, bible in hand, waving to the camera. >>

Is this the new conservatism, to deny sinners access to church?

<< (meanwhile back in the abortion grinders more babies are chewed up for your precious Pro death stance.) >>

Aborting a fetus is a horrible process. I abhor the thought of abortion and could never be an abortion doctor, or participate in such an act. But I believe that a woman's individual reproductive freedom should not be denied and placed in the hands of the state. Look what happened in Romania when the state took over control of women's wombs! Look at Afganistan. All of women's rights are denied in Afganistan. We cannot start down that slippery slope towards Politician Controlled wombs.

<< So as long as your paycheck is good, you could care less how anyone trashes anyone else. >>

This is a phrase from the Republican Handbook. The little guy be damned! Who cares if hard working families are able to put money into savings or send their kids to school, or buy a home! When Republicans trash the general public because they like the economy producing jobs and prosperity, it reminds me of fat cat politicians who consider the average voter lower than dirt.

<< Hey maybe it will be your daughter next time, you think? >>

My daughter is safe. I have warned her about the fat cat Republicans who cheat on their wives over and over again.

<< You know the press will dig for all the dirt, and since no one is perfect all will be brought to light about someones past and we can make honest judgements about the character of folks we put in office. That will be an improvement. >>

Be careful of what you ask for. You might get it. We are now entering the age of personal assasination. We've always had dirty politics, but the Republicans lowered the bar this time.

The Republican Party is abusing their majority power to attack the minority party's President. It is a shame. Sadly, our democracy will suffer for it.
