i certainly understand fully, option strategies...both put/call bull/bear speads etc...

i'm not "excited" about writing puts..just happy<g>...

Thanks for the reply, but the person asking the question was me, Sowbug, not Options Jerry. I doubt OJ would ask such a basic question with a name like that!

I understand exactly what you mean now. Sell puts = bullish move; use some of the cash to buy puts = protective bearish move to insure bullish position.
