I think that the most attractive investment in Microcell would be in their 2007 discount notes. If the company does reasonably well, you can look in 20% a year, maybe even more

Grabs..I agree with you, my take on Microcell is.....

1) They are the only GSM player in Canada. GSM is the only technology used throughout Europe, US, and most of Asia. The strategic value is very high.

2) When Canada lifts the foreign ownership restrictions on telecommunication companies..Watch-out Microcell would/should/could be an immediate buy-out candidate.

3) Rumor is that Clearnet will be bought-out soon. This is great for Microcell because it would 1) potentially eliminate one competitor in the market 2) show tangible value of Canadian PCS licenses.

4) Microcell is delivering good customer growth. For 4Q98, Microcell added over 100,000 customers which is about the same as established competitor Cantel and about 35,,000 more than Clearnet.

I think this stock is a great buy and hold. Patience will be rewarded. JMO
