Was that response flippant or serious?

If it was serious, do you really think a technical viewpoint is useful in situations like this, where the model has recently undergone fundamental change? Seems to me like insufficient time has elapsed under the buyback regime for a statistical approach to be reliable.

For example, you talk about average low forward PE. Not sure exactly what that is, but I does it include an allowance for the PE varying as a result of the buyback having a significant effect on the float?

And doesn't TA assume that no single investor will have a significant effect on the overall picture? Can it cope with the whims of a CREAF investment manager with the mandate to buy 9 million shares sometime during the next year?
