If I may...the surfeit of stock split news and M&A activity (paid for with inflated stock)is a symptom of a major market top. I've been reading posts on SI for all the internet and major computer technology stocks over the past few days, and what strikes me is the uniformity of bullish (unbridled bullish!) opinion. Why did AOL drop "like a stone"? Look at the action in YHOO and AMZN today, then ask why the internet works; it works because a cheaper product is only a click away. When the average guy figures out what is really going on here, there will not be enough phone lines at E*Trade to let the masses out. I hope I'm wrong, because what's coming is going to decimate my portfolio, too...

Thanks for listening.
