Stephen,

Alcatel has won multi year contracts for DSLAM deployments for BEL, Bellsouth, Ameritech, SBC+PacTel and Bell Canada. These Telcos have a TOTAL of 140 million lines.

For anyone to confuse 140 million INSTALLED lines to 140 million TOTAL lines really doesn't understand ADSL or the Telco's. A Telco novice wouldn't confuse that number.... until later.

I all due respect...there's alot more than 140M lines. BUT, I do agree with you, if there were 140M lines installed you and I would DEFINITELY be using it.
