don't believe everything you read.

they really don't know. they are applying old 1945 thru 1990 cyclical rules to today's bond mkt which don't apply in order to come up w/ a reason for selling which baffled them. They're scrambling for a reason for today's selloff as people always do (afterall selling has to be for reason unlike buying which can just happen for no reason (G)) When they can't imagine any reason why there's selling they use my favorite... "investors did a little profit taking."

More than likely, the selloff today was a build-up of pressure from Japanese selling over the past 3 months and that's it. The mkt was just finally soft enough to breakdown. that news was just a catalyst not the reason. Much like when I was speculating that the GDP report would set it off on Fri (obviously a day early--- so sue me(G))

it will get worse.
